Turnitin Student Guide

TurnItIn Overview

Turnitin is a plagiarism detection service that assesses assignment originality and indicates what percent of submissions match internet sources. Turnitin automatically reviews assignments in Canvas and provides a similarity report for each submission.

Using TurnItIn

Students access TurnItIn from Canvas assignments that use the functionality. An additional account or password is not necessary for Turnitin use.
