Student Zoom First Steps

Students, Staff and Faculty who are new to the university community: it is important to complete the “First Steps” section before using UM Zoom for the first time. Even those familiar with Zoom will experience delays in attending first meetings if these steps are not followed first.

First Steps

1. Download and Install the Zoom App on Your Device​.
2. Create and Log in to Your UM Zoom Account.
   • Migrating Your Zoom Account to UM Zoom?
     • Follow these steps if you already have a Zoom account tied to your UMICH email address.
3. Getting Started with the Zoom for Google Workspace add-on is a recommended but not required resource.
